About Us

Born from Experience. Built on Hope.

Our journey began on June 27, 2017, when I gave birth to twins at just 30 weeks and 6 days. What followed was a deeply personal and transformative NICU experience that changed my life forever. At just 25 weeks into the pregnancy, we learned that our Twin B, Winston, had been diagnosed with Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR), a condition where growth is significantly below expectations for gestational age.

Holding On to Hope

From Crisis to Courage

Notes of Hope was born from that very experience—a desire to bring comfort, encouragement, and connection to families walking similar paths. Whether you're in the middle of your own NICU journey or supporting someone you love, know that you're not alone. This space is for you. A mother’s NICU journey turned mission to inspire hope and healing for families facing the unexpected.

About Founder

Our Story

My NICU journey began on June 27, 2017, when I birthed twins at 30 weeks, 6 days. My journey within those walls, and beyond, has equipped me to bring Notes of Hope.

At 25 weeks gestation, my Twin B, Winston, was diagnosed with Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR). This means that his growth was significantly behind expectations for his gestational age. We did not know the cause of the diagnosis, but we were told the potentially bleak outcomes. At worst, he would be stillborn, have Down Syndrome or other chromosomal issues, or be significantly delayed. At best, he and his sister would be born prematurely and suffer the potential risks of very early birth. I was immediately given a list of instructions to help us increase his growth at home - from increasing protein intake to taking baby Aspirin to a prescription for Viagra to increase blood flow.

I was traumatized and afraid, but I held on to faith and to the hope that my babies would be okay.

At 27 weeks… 3 day hospital stay

Then back a few days later - June 12-27

42 days and 85 days in the NICU

Rooted in Resilience

Hope Was Born Too

Out of the uncertainty and silence of the NICU, something powerful emerged—hope. Not just for survival, but for connection, strength, and purpose. What began as a personal journey through fear and faith became a mission to support others navigating the same path. Every story matters, every heartbeat counts, and every note we share is a reminder that even in the smallest moments, hope lives here.

Our Values

We are rooted in compassion, shaped by resilience, and guided by faith. Our values reflect the strength it takes to endure the NICU journey and the empathy needed to support others through it. We believe in showing up with kindness, sharing hope generously, and creating space for healing and connection.

Our Promise

We promise to walk beside you with honesty, warmth, and understanding. Whether you’re in the NICU now or carrying the weight of that experience into life beyond, we are here to remind you: you are not alone. Every message, product, or note we share comes with genuine care and the intention to lift hearts.

Our Mission

Our mission is to bring light to NICU families through thoughtful encouragement, storytelling, and community. Inspired by our own journey, we aim to offer comfort in the hard moments, celebrate the small victories, and spread hope—one note, one voice, one heart at a time.
